About the new CATTS Website

Change is the only thing that never changes

Welcome to the new CATTS Website.  We sincerely hope that you find this regeneration of the website as useful as its previous incarnations. As internet technology changes, and the use of the internet by parents, carers and professionals alike changes, we want to ensure we remain ahead (or at least in step).

What’s new in this incarnation?

Combining our useful information

While all the previous information that has been found useful is here, this version is designed to be more responsive, and collaborative with anyone who needs it. The hints and tips that we usually post onto social media will be archived here, and therefore part of the powerful search function. This means that if you remember you saw something useful on the CATTS social media pages, and  you find you need it to help you at some point in the future; it will be here.

Getting Social

SocialYou will notice that the site now allows you to register, and to Like, Share and Comment on articles and posts that you find helpful or interesting. It also has its own Social Media Setting – similar to Facebook, but behind the CATTS secure systems. This allows you to Friend other users, private message, share information, and create groups with other users. Groups can be Public – available and visible to everyone, and Private – only available to those invited by the group owner. (Unlike other systems such as Facebook – even this site Admins cannot access these.)

We have been wanting to do this for a long time as one of the most frequent concerns we get, especially from parents or carers, is how hard it can be to get to support meetings, and how difficult and lonely it can be starting out on this journey. We want to make it easier for people to connect, in the spirit of helping each other out.

So, please join in!

So, please enjoy, and let us know how we can make things better for you.

All the best,

The CATTS team
