Full Time Speech and Language Therapist

Do you see yourself here? Acting classes not essential!

CATTS Ireland is urgently recruiting for a Full Time Speech and Language Therapist  (SLT) within the Independent Practice setting. This is a Full Time Permanent role to support an existing and expanding caseload from our main HQ in Clondalkin.

This role will involve working as an associate therapist in Clondalkin and the greater Dublin area. The ideal candidate can be based in, or near this location.

Job Responsibilities:

Working in partnership with the rest of the team, you will be responsible for the delivery of quality, consistent Speech and Language Therapy services to paediatric and adult clients.

Our main area of practice is paediatrics and we also work with adults with a variety of disabilities. CATTS’ main base is our HQ in Clondalkin, Dublin. We sometimes have requests for SLTs to work in a preschool or school for a half day, provide home visits, or work at a satellite clinic. Currently the workload for this opportunity is to take over an existing caseload of mainly paediatric, with some adult clients with in HQ, and 1 1/2 days at 2 satellite clinics or home or school visits.

What to expect:

Our therapists have flexibility around how and when they work and can work from home to do administration if they wish. A professional approach to work, and an ability to work on your own initiative is key to success in this role. With this flexibility, our team members can adhere to the 70%/30% – Client time/Admin time, which allows time to further CPD and grow as a clinician. The team and management tries to make it as easy as possible to work within the challenges of independent practice.

What you need:

Firstly, a recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy is essential, as well as permission to work in Ireland. CORU registration is a must and IASLT membership is desirable. Experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist is desirable, but not essential, as we provide a robust supervision programme delivered to all our clinicians. A car and a full driving licence is also essential. This is a self-employed opportunity. Successful candidates should be aware that they will be responsible for making their own tax returns to the Revenue Commissioner.

Who would it suit:

  • Are you someone who is enthusiastic and passionate about Speech and Language Therapy?
  • Are you self motivated and well organised, and want to be able to add to successfully enhance and grow your clinical practice across a diverse caseload?
