Are the Home Activities mandatory?

A good intervention programme should show demonstrable improvements over time as indicated. If you do the home activities as suggested, progress will be considerably faster.

In reality, we realise you have additional commitments which mean that even the most diligent parent may not be able to carry out the home programmes every day every week. If you give your clinician feedback on how the home activities went, your clinician can possibly suggest changes to the activities to make it as easy as possible to practice at home.

The home practice following joint speech and language therapy, can take the form of a combination of a few (usually fun) activities.
